LEED

Currently under construction in downtown Denver, 1800 Larimer will be among the first LEED Platinum buildings in the state.  The 22-story office building, by Westfield Company, is scheduled for completion in 2010.  Xcel Energy will occupy nearly 70% of the 500,000 square foot tower.

The US Green Building Council allows a Core & Shell project to be Pre-Certified for marketing efforts.  1800 Larimer has its pre-certification in place, and will need final certification at the completion of construction.

I commend Westfield for their efforts to chart a course in environmentally conscious design on such a large scale.
